The human population in this Ecozone is about 3,027,206.The main urban areas in this ecozone are Vancouver, Victoria and Prince Rupert. There are many places that you could visit in this Ecozone. Mountains, Kootenay National Park, and the hot springs are some of the places where you could visit. They also have resorts and beaches where you could stay and enjoy your vacation.
The commercial fishing industry is another major industry in this ecozone, coastal communities are mostly fishers. This ecozone has more fishing miles than any other place in this world. Salmon stocks used to be pricy but due to the overfishing now the prices are low. The overfishing damaged the habitat for the fish and other species under the sea. This ecozone has other countless species of fish.
